First JDM FD2 Civic Type R in Holland

The flying_dutchman over at Jtuned forums posts several pics of the Type R he just took delivery of.

Lose the taillights and that'd be one sweet tarmac machine.

So You Want To Import a GTR - Comprehensive Guide

Until Nissan announced the R35 GTR, all GTRs before it have been the JDM Holy Grail. With the exception of a couple of people with the chutzpah to pull it off, importing an R32, R33, or R34 has been no easy task.

Lucky for you, someone over at Nissan Infinity Car Owners did a serious amount of homework and distilled it into six pages of material for your restroom enjoyment.

Attention Supraphiles - TX2K8 Snaps

There's a thread over at Evolutionm.net with a ton of pictures from this year's TX2K8 event. Several generations of Supras? Check. Big single conversions? Check. Tons of american muscle thrown in for eyecandy? Check.

Of particular interest are pictures of the whiteboard shown above. Yes, there are many 4 digit numbers. Yes, thats in RWHP.

Nissan R35 GTR - VR38 Powerplant Close Up

Eric Hsu of Cosworth/Apex'i infamy posts some pictures and details of an R35 they're ripping up over at M-Workz. After peeping the built transaxle up close and seeing all the design details that went into the GTR, you quickly realize how much of a bargain $70k for this car truly is.

The powerplant itself does look pretty Nissan-pedestrian if you ask me. Yes, its one of the most advanced automotive powertrains ever devised by man. Yes, it will propel all 3800lbs of GTR down the 1/4 mile in the 11 second range. The VR38, however, doesn't look the part. It looks like it would be more at home in the engine bay of a 350Z or G35. What does everyone think?

More R35 GTR vs. Z06 vs. 911 Action

Road and Track has a comprehensive head to head comparison between the GTR, Z06, and 911 turbo on U.S. soil. The bottom line? The GTR runs Buttonwillow configuration 13 a full five seconds faster than the two other cars.

The Wrecked M5 Thread

There's a fun little thread over at SocalEvo with a ton of pics sourced from WreckedExotics depicting vast amounts of bavarian carnage. Not for the faint of heart!

The EJ2 Civic That Could..

This is a rare specimen indeed -it's refreshing to see a fifteen year old daily driven Civic that is this clean. Instead of whoring out from the typical eBay parts bin, JDMUniverse member Bensol shows us that with a little bit of hardwork and good taste, you can still build something nice and not blow the budget. Sporting what appears to be the original D-series motor and a set of Rota Group-N's, this EJ2 maintains an understated semblance of dignity. The Recaro bucket seats don't hurt either.

2009 Nissan Maxima

G35 driver has a few snaps courtesy of auto-talk.net. Is it me, or does it look like a cross between an M45 and a new generation Camry? Definitely an improvement over the current can't-tell-if-its-coming-or-going Maxima.

Discuss amongst yourselves.

A Piece of History - Paul Allen's Ferrari on eBay

Ferrari 456GT, originally owned my Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen. $69,000 with less than two hours to go.

IS-Fs off the Showroom Floor, Onto The Streets

For those of you wondering who would drop $70k on a Toyota, your wait is over. Some members over at the Lexus IS Forum have begun taking delivery of their respective 2008 IS-F sedans. Pictures show some details - vented fenders, big calipers, drilled rotors, and some massive wheels that show you precisely what you're getting for double the going rate of an IS350 (oh yeah, and they throw in a big honking V8 as well!).

Truth be told, the IS-F is really one mean looking sedan. What does everyone think? Is it worth 70k? Or maybe an M3 sedan instead?

EDIT: Despite many reports of the IS-F going for 70, the original poster on this thread claims low 60s as the purchase price of the black one pictured above.
