2008 Liberal Albero Kit for WRX/STI

As far as aftermarket body conversions go, this is a pretty clean kit. Note the enlarged front openings, and provisions for dual exhaust in the rear. More pics from Fishdizzle over at All Wheel Junkies.

Subaru Legacy STI S402

Mazdas247 member mikeyb has posted a ton of images of the upcoming Subaru Legacy STI S402. Note the massive six pot front calipers, bilstein suspension, and IHI turbine. With the mixed reviews of the new WRX-STI (image-wise), this is definitely one Subie to look forward to - especially in wagon trim!

New Subaru STi: 0-60 in 4.8 seconds, 1/4 mile in 13.3

The folks at Edmunds: Inside line have been interacting with the new STi in close quarters and the results are in: Subie still has it. All the new handling technowizardry aside (yes it still dances with the best of them), the new STi is fast. The 2.5L turbocharged boxer motor now features variable valve timing on both the intake and exhaust side, churning out 305hp. 4.8 seconds and low 13s is pretty much on par with the previous STi, but slalom speeds nearly 4mph faster indicate Fuji Heavy Industries did not merely slap an extra 5hp on the car and call it a day.

Things aren't looking good for Mitsubishi, who's new Evo X runs a 14.0 1/4 mile at 99mph while getting schooled by it's predecessor, the Evo IX.

New STi Interior to Die For

It's no secret that the new STi has about as much aesthetic charm as Shrek - or worst yet, a Ford Focus. The folks over at NASIOC weigh in on the upcoming model as well as post a ton of purdy official Subaru pics.

The one that catches the eye the most is that of the interior. Always one to one-up rival Mitsubishi in cabin quality, Subaru has, thankfully, gotten something right. Subtle red illumination, high quality stitched seat bolsters, and titanium-grey accents almost make up for the cars outward uncomeliness...almost.
